Our small whole Boston mackerel, also known as Atlantic mackerel, are slightly more tender than the larger King mackerel. While Atlantic mackerel are found on both sides of the North Atlantic Ocean, including in the Baltic Sea, ours come from the USA. The assertive flavor of Boston mackerel hold up well to the boldest of seasonings, herbs and sauces, so get creative! If you like stronger flavored, high oil content fish like sardines or bluefish you’ll love our Boston mackerel.
